Inflatables Set Up & Tear Down Instructions

BOUNCE HOUSE 

SET-UP INSTRUCTIONS

-Unroll inflatable on a flat and level area (preferably grass). 

-Secure chute to blower. 
-Close all Velcro & Zipper Vents – Tie off remaining Chutes 
-Plug into electrical outlet capable of drawing 20 amps, within 75 feet. 
-Secure unit to the ground with stakes. 
-Blower shall remain plugged in at all times during operation. 

TAKE DOWN INSTRUCTIONS

-Make sure all people are clear of unit inside and out. 
-DO NOT allow jumping, rolling, or other activities while deflating unit. 
-Deflate unit by unplugging and detaching blower. 
-Open/unzip all vents and chutes 
-Let the unit deflate by itself for approximately 10-15 minutes. 
-Proceed to roll up in the same way you unrolled it

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION

-No more than five (5) children at a time on 15’x15’ units. 
-Group the same size children together in the unit. 
-Adult supervision is required at all times. 
-Do not put blower near water or other liquids. 
-No sleeping in unit. 
-Do not leave inflatable uncovered overnight. 
-Do not use Silly String, or other items that may damage the unit. 

             INFLATABLES CANNOT BE USED IN WET WEATHER         

 *Additional cleaning fees will be assessed if the unit is returned wet, 

muddy, with Silly String, or other damage beyond normal wear and tear. 

RULES OF OPERATION

-No Shoes 
-Socks are required 
-No horseplay or roughhousing 
-Walk or crawl in and out of the unit; do not jump off 
-Max. Weight is 100 lbs. per child on small units 
-Small bounce units (15’ X 15’) are not suitable for teens or adults 

WILL CALL PROCEDURE

-Small bounce units can be transported in an SUV, pick up, mini van or station wagon with an empty cargo area. Mini vans and station wagons will need to have all rear seats folded or removed. Larger units require a truck. 
-Refer to your Sales and Rental Agreement for exact pickup and return times. Should you be unable to meet the scheduled times, we require 24 hours notice. Failure to pick up or return the unit at times designated on your Sales and Rental Agreement will result in additional charges (See Sales and Rental Agreement). 
-All deposits are non-refundable from the time you reserve and your order is processed (see Contract Terms and Important Information). We require 24 hours notice for rescheduling and/or cancellation. Upon cancellation, all deposits paid will stay on file as a credit for a future rental for up to 12 months.

Release Statement

The undersigned agrees to hold Portland PartyWorks, Inc. harmless and indemnifies, their employees, suppliers, manufacturers, agents, assignees and sub-contractors for any and all injuries. I further understand and acknowledge that I am responsible for any and all damage to this inflatable beyond normal wear and tear. I have read and clearly understand all of the above rules and release statement and agree to abide by them.

Portland PartyWorks Unveils 2013's New Attractions.

This year our dauntless PartyWorks trio (also known as Mike, Roy and Kristina) came home from their annual New Game Hunt with some really heart-stopping events that are already in hot demand. The 3 of them search through thousands of water slides,  mechanical bulls and bounce houses looking for fun to bring back home to us. Its a tough job, and on behalf of thrill seekers everywhere we thank you for your tireless commitment to your task.

For our new PartyWorks friends let me share a little insight about the annual trek to IAAPA. Each January these fearless 3  brave the hot and humid climate of Florida in January to attend a trade show full of amusement park attractions and other fun games to add to their already massive list of attractions. Their relentless hunt for new, and unique, and bigger, and better, and faster, and higher is on behalf of all us, the thrill-seekers in Oregon. 

But this year they outdid themselves. 
So now that Mike is back in his office dreaming up the next Gyroscope and Roy is done making room in the warehouse, and Kristina has skillfully managed the shipment to their new home in Clackamas they are finally here. If you are looking for that perfect, never-before-enjoyed perfect show stopping event...

• Beat The Bucket

A fresh twist on the time-honored dunk tank. The dunkee can try and block the balls before they hit the target. If a ball happens to make it past the blocker and hits a target, a refreshing bucket of water dumps from above on the player,

Easily transported, the game runs off of a standard garden hose water supply, and a 12V rechargeable

 

 

• Rejuvenation Station

 Our basic station comes with three vibrating foot massage's (don't worry - you can leave your shoes on!) like you see at various locations around town.  Add our hand held back and shoulder massager or even a real life masseuse with an upright back chair for even more relief. 

• Mega Wire

Don't get zapped on this game. This is the grown-up version of the spinning corkscrew game, remember that one? You had to maneuver around it all the way to the bottom to win.. In this game, the player holds the loop in one hand and attempts to guide it along the curved wire without touching the loop to the wire. When the loop and the wire touch, a alarm signaling that the game has been lost. A lot harder than it looks. You and an opponent can race to the middle by grasping a wand and maneuvering through the zig-zags all while "trying" not to get zzzzz'inged!  Or play solo if you think you can make it from beginning to end.

Perfect at any carnival or company picnic.  It's great for all ages!  Laser and suction gun options available to meet each clients needs.

• Quad Jumper

Designed with the High Flyers in mind AND the custom needs of youngsters this interactive has different rope systems so everyone can get a taste of flying. This Quad Jumper can also be tailored to you custom means. It can be customized to match your event or team colors.

The Portland PartyWorks Annual Hunt For New Fun Is Underway

Our 3 weary travelers have begun their annual New Event Exhibition. Travelling over mountains and plains, across the great Mississippi and passing the Gulf until they finally  arrived in the relentless heat of Florida on Monday. Although hungry and tired, our 3 selfless troopers are determined to tough it out for the greater good. Mike, Kristina, and Roy are stuck the entire week in Tornado Alley searching for 2013's crop of interactive fun.

They will be sending back potential product choices and it will be up to all of you to vote on which items you like the best. I will be posting them on our Blog, Twitter, Facebook and Google+ from now till Friday.

1 Wack-A-Mole                                                                               

Once the game starts, the moles will begin to pop up from their holes at random. The object of the game is to force the individual moles back into their holes by hitting them directly on the head with the mallet, thereby adding to the player's score. The quicker this is done the higher the final score will be.

2)  Beat The Bucket:

Allows a player the opportunity to control their fate; provided they have the reaction time and skill to do so. A single player stands behind the station and with the aid of a blocking arm, can defend the two targets from being hit. A second player throws water-logged balls (or Juggle Balls, Tennis Balls, Nerf Balls) while trying to hit the 2 targets. If the player using the blocker can act quickly enough, they can stop the ball from hitting the target. However, should the ball happen to strike a target, a cool, refreshing bucket of water is dumped from above. The bucket then automatically resets and fills with water, ready for the next defender.

We could call it a carnival but that name doesn't fully embody the total awesomeness of this annual event.

More candy than your stomach can handle in one night!

It’s no wonder kids ask to come to the Extravaganza rather than go trick-or-treating. Parents love it because it’s warm, free, and safe for their children to enjoy. 

This event runs from 6 pm-8 pm.

To help their big "To Do" they are accepting donated bottled water , single serving bags of chips, juice boxes or candy. You can even volunteer your services and help with security for the children, working a carnival booth , serving popcorn, cotton candy or pronto pups to their guests.

Credited with the invention of the Bounce House, John Scurlocks greatest achievement in the field of inflatables was the invention of safety air cushions. This product is now widely used by fire and rescue departments to hold people jumping from heights.

In 1959 while experimenting with inflatable covers for tennis courts, swimming pools, and other enclosures John came up with the idea for the first moonwalk. He noticed the loss and refilling of air made the covers bouncy and the employees kept flopping and jumping on them and having a great time. Scurlock decided to create a kid’s amusement bouncer. He originally called the inflatable structures "Spacewalks" and started a company of the same name.

In 1974 the Jupiter Jump was born. These modern jumps had inflated columns to support walls constructed of netting allowing air to pass through the bounce house. This innovative solution solved the problem of intense heat that was generated inside the jumpers greatly enhancing the popularity of the Inflatable jumpers.

Back in 1968 Scurlock's wife Frances started an inflatable rental company and in 1976 they constructed a custom facility for the manufacture and leasing of the increasingly popular products. Their marketing targeted kids birthday parties, church and school functions. Their 
son Frank extended the rental enterprise across the United States under the brand name Area Walk and Inflatable Zoo. In 1986 Frank also established the first all inflatable indoor play park called The Fun Factory.

The term "Bounce House" came to popularity with the resurgence of hipster culture in New England. These inflatable’s are also marketed as Bounce Houses, Moon Bounces, Astrojumps, Moonwalks, Jolly Jumps and Spacewalks. "Pula pula" is another name commonly used by Latinos, which literally means "jump jump". In Southern California, another popular term is Closed Inflatable Trampolines (CITs). Bouncy Castle or Inflatable Castle is used in Ireland, the UK, New Zealand and parts of Australia, and Jumping Castles in Arizona, Australia, Canada and South Africa.

Whatever they are called, there growth in popularity has led to an inflatable rental industry which includes inflatable slides, obstacle courses, games, and more. 

Inflatables are ideal for portable amusements because they are easy to transport and store. Computer Aided Design or CAD, means the variety of jumpers offered today is huge and only limited to human imagination.
